Blackjack Edge ("we", "our", "the app") is an educational blackjack training app. It uses virtual practice chips only and does not offer real-money gambling, prizes, sweepstakes, or cash-value virtual currency.

1. Data We Collect

The app works without creating a named account. Firebase may create an anonymous user ID so progress, subscriptions, and leaderboard features can work reliably. If you choose Sign in with Apple or Google, we collect the account identifiers needed for authentication.

2. How We Use Data

3. Third-Party Services

4. Data Retention and Deletion

Training stats and preferences are stored locally on your device. Optional account, subscription, leaderboard, analytics, crash, and advertising data may be stored by the services listed above according to their retention practices.

You can delete your account from Preferences -> Delete Account. This deletes the Firebase account and clears app-associated account data where the app has access. You can also contact us for privacy requests.

5. Your Choices

6. Children's Privacy

Blackjack Edge is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is an educational trainer with simulated card play and virtual chips only.

7. Website Analytics

This section covers the blackjackedge.app website only. It does not apply to the app itself, which is described in the sections above.

Our marketing pages use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site - which sections they read, where they scroll, and which buttons they click - so we can improve the pages. Clarity records page views, clicks, scrolling and mouse or touch movement, along with your browser, device type and an approximate location derived from your IP address. We do not use it to identify you personally, and these pages contain no forms or login, so no information you type is collected.

Where Clarity is permitted to do so, it sets two first-party cookies: _clck, which holds a visitor identifier for about a year, and _clsk, which groups page views into a single session for about a day.

If you are visiting from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, Clarity operates in a restricted mode by default: we do not send it a consent signal, so it does not set these cookies and collects a reduced set of data. That is why you are not asked to accept cookies on this site.

Data collected by Clarity is processed by Microsoft. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

To opt out, visit blackjackedge.app/?noclarity=1 once. That browser is then excluded from Clarity on every future visit, and the choice is remembered locally on your device. Visit blackjackedge.app/?noclarity=0 to undo it. Enabling "Do Not Track" or a tracker-blocking extension also works.

The playable web demo at play.blackjackedge.app does not run Clarity.
